We are open to new partners. If you have biographical data on the internet, Metagrid helps you to connect this data. For Metagrid to work, your data must meet the following requirements:
- high-quality data (e.g. research data, catalogue data, etc.)
- open data and freely accessible website
- a unique link to identify a single person
- a continuously updated list of all available individuals (for example XML page map, HTML list, API with pagination or similar)

If you want to become a provider and connect your data through Metagrid, take the following steps:
Step 1:
Contact us via info@metagrid.ch. We will analyze the data and suggest possible solutions to integrate it in Metagrid.
Step 2:
Our team will write a crawler to process your data. In this step, we also normalize your data to our data schema. Metagrid looks for basic biographic information like names, birth date and death deat. If there are existin outgoing links to other projects in your data, Metagrid tries to import and auto-link them.
Step 3:
We test our crawler and check the results to ensure that everything is indexed correctly.
Step 4:
We run the crawler on our production system and import the indexed fields into Metagrid. From now on, the crawler will run automatically and update your date in Metagrid based on a defined schedule.
Step 5:
You get access to our back office, where you can connect your data with other projects. If you link your data, our partner’s websites display the link to your projects.
Step 6:
To integrate Metagrid on your website, use one of our js-widgets or check out the API documentation.
